James H. Webster

James Webster attended Ohio State University, and graduated in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate and Urban Economics. He began appraising after graduation in Galion, Ohio and Greensboro, North Carolina, moving to Champaign in 1983. James H. Webster & Associates, Ltd. was founded in 1986, and Mr. Webster has 49-years of experience in real estate appraising. He has experience in appraising a wide range of properties, including commercial, industrial, agricultural, special purpose, and residential. Mr. Webster has a certified general license through the State of Illinois. He holds MAI and SRA designations through the Appraisal Institute.

Joseph M. Webster

Joseph Webster attended Southern Illinois University, graduating in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in finance, as well as in 2005 with a master’s degree in business administration. He has a certified general appraiser license through the State of Illinois, an MAI designation through the Appraisal Institute, and a right-of-way appraisal certification through the International Right-of-Way Association.

Mr. Webster is the author of A Discussion of Excess Land Concepts and Theory, which was the cover article for the Spring 2015 edition of The Appraisal Journal. This article won the Swango Award for the best article published in The Appraisal Journal in the previous year on residential, general, or technology-related topics or for original research of benefit to real estate analysts and valuers.
